We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including receiving and processing goods, loading and unloading vehicles, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Picking orders and prioritizing tasks according to the delivery schedule
- Receiving and processing goods, including checking for damage and ensuring accurate inventory levels
- Loading and unloading vehicles with palletized and caged goods
- Replenishing and consolidating stock, and assembling cages for orders to be safely stacked
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including general housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area
- Ability to work in a multi-temperature environment (chilled and ambient)
- Good communication and team working skills
- Attention to detail is essential
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.20ph, including holiday pay
