Clinical Lead for Cardiology Care
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing approximately 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles.
As a Clinical Lead for Cardiology Care, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional leadership to our nursing team on Ward 43B, Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Your responsibilities will include ensuring high standards of care for cardiology patients, supporting their acute care, rehabilitation, and discharge planning through holistic and compassionate care.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and experience in leading multi-professional teams. They will be able to competently perform necessary technical and invasive aspects of care, regularly take charge and lead the team, and coordinate care to ensure optimal patient flow throughout the department.
We are looking for a registered nurse with expertise in cardiology care who can act as a role model for junior staff, provide specialist knowledge and advice, and evaluate and implement care plans. Additionally, they will support and deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse(s) in their absence and fulfill any necessary managerial duties.
Our organisation values staff wellbeing and development, providing mentorship and coaching opportunities to support your growth. We advocate a culture of kindness and civility, promoting a diverse workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
In return for your dedication, you can expect a competitive salary, reflecting the new working hours. The estimated annual salary for this role is £42,350 (approximately £37 per hour), considering the reduced working week from 37.5 to 37 hours. This reduction does not affect pay, but part-time staff may need to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, which would be paid accordingly.
We encourage applications from all sections of the community and are proud of our Forces Friendly Employer status. By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, NHSGGC has pledged its commitment to supporting members of the Armed Forces Community. If you're passionate about delivering exceptional care and leading a talented team, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.
