Maintenance and Grounds Support Specialist

We are recruiting for a Maintenance and Grounds Support Specialist to join our team in Lincoln. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our site's facilities and equipment.
About the Role:
This is a varied role that requires someone who can turn their hand to anything. You will need to be able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. The ideal candidate will have basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing skills and be flexible in undertaking duties and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- General jobs required in the building/office
- Gardening and ground maintenance tasks
- Sourcing products in support of the maintenance and ordering for various departments
- Assisting in sourcing and controlling contractors in support of the maintenance and quality and hygiene departments
- Authorizing and controlling contractors on site, ensuring all required processing systems are adhered to
- Maintaining all firefighting equipment on site, liaising with the fire brigade when required
- Controlling and maintaining the general building appearance, where possible without the use of external contractors
- Organizing areas for waste disposal requirements
- Assisting in maintaining cleaning equipment and material stock levels
- Monitoring and upkeep company vehicles
- Organizing, recording, and controlling PAT testing of all office equipment
- Maintaining control of keys issued, site access areas, and locker issues
- Managing the issuing and control of workwear across the site, including measuring new starters
- Assisting in the control of contractors for all types of maintenance and repairs encompassing all areas of the site facility
- Undertaking all hygiene and quality responsibilities and directives to ensure that company standards are met and surpassed when possible
- Assisting engineers in the procurement of all spares for all site equipment/plant
- Ensuring all stock levels are noted, maintained, and recorded
- Liaising with the accounts department to ensure all expenditure issues and records are dealt with and carrying out regular stock takes
