We are seeking a skilled Claims Recovery Handler to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our Claims team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough reviews of claim files to determine feasibility of successful recovery, including investigations and evaluation of liability issues.
- Negotiate with third parties to establish and document liability and quantum decisions within agreed handling authority.
- Protect AIG and customer interests, handling conflicts of interest and anticipating potential issues that may impact the business.
- Train claims personnel in recovery recognition and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of training programs for all claims staff.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant case law, regulatory, legal, and statutory changes within the industry.
- Work within agreed standards, limitations, and authorities, and comply with regulatory and risk management responsibilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident telephone manner.
- Desirable: recovery experience and proven liability negotiation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of claims handling within Casualty, Auto, or Property claims.
