Teaching Opportunity at Horizon Care and Education

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher to join our Alternative Learning Team in the Stockport region. As a Teacher at Horizon Care and Education, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social development of students who struggle to maintain attendance and learning in a school environment.

Our Alternative Learning Team delivers short-term, personalized learning programs nationally, combining direct home tutoring and online learning for pupils aged 5-19. As a Teacher, you will work closely with our Director of Curriculum, Headteachers, SENCos, and the Managing Director of Education Services to provide high-quality education and support to our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the educational and social development of students
  • Work with children with SEN and/or those who have struggled in a school environment
  • Deliver 1:1 or small group lessons in various non-school settings
  • Support children with learning and education based on their individual needs
Requirements:
  • QTS or QTLS qualifications
  • Proven teaching and learning experience
  • Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection qualifications/knowledge and experience
