Job Overview

The Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of HIV services. As a Lead HIV Specialist Nurse, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management to drive the growth and improvement of HIV services within the trust.

Main Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing and implementing HIV service strategies to meet the needs of patients and the local community
  • Providing clinical leadership and guidance to nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Leading the development of HIV nursing policy and procedures
  • Providing training and education to nursing staff on HIV care and management

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive post-qualification experience in HIV care and management
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading teams and developing services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Knowledge of HIV care and management, including current best practices and guidelines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
