About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to children and families in Workington.

This locum opportunity offers a 3-month contract with full-time hours, and we estimate the salary to be around £18,000 per annum based on 50 hours of work per week at £37.50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Casework and Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments and provide effective casework to ensure the well-being and safety of children and families.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other professionals, such as teachers, health visitors, and police officers, to share information and coordinate services.
  • Support and Intervention: Provide timely and appropriate support to children and families, including attending school meetings, visiting families, and offering guidance and advice.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in social work.
  • Current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant frontline experience in Children's Services.
