Mental Health Social Work Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Consultant Social Worker to lead and mentor a team of trainee social workers in Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity for an advanced social work professional to shape the future of mental health social work while remaining in frontline practice.
About the RoleAs a Consultant Social Worker, you will be responsible for leading a unit of four trainee social workers during their placements, providing leadership, case oversight, and supervision. You will take ultimate responsibility for casework undertaken by the trainees and be based within an adult community team in Workington, Cumbria.
Main Responsibilities- Lead a unit of trainee social workers and provide guidance and supervision
- Provide clinical and reflective supervision to staff
- Take ultimate responsibility for casework undertaken by trainees
This role offers a unique blend of leadership, education, and frontline practice, including:
- A fully funded Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Social Work from Middlesex University
- Bespoke leadership training and advanced supervision skills development

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
