Job Description: Academic Support Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Graduate Network for an Academic Support Specialist to join our team. As an English Mentor, you will provide targeted support to students in developing their English skills and achieving academic success.

About the Role

Your primary responsibility will be to deliver one-to-one and small group sessions to support students' academic progress. You will also assist in lesson planning and preparation, working closely with experienced classroom teachers to develop engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual who is passionate about education and committed to making a positive impact on students' lives. A strong understanding of both English Language and Literature is essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group sessions to support students' academic progress
  • Assist in lesson planning and preparation
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in English or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong understanding of both English Language and Literature
  • Previous experience in a secondary school setting (advantageous)
