Job Summary:

As a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and enhancing students' learning experiences. Your responsibilities will include providing one-to-one support, facilitating group activities, and assisting with classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a mainstream primary school setting.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons, and contribute to the development of learning materials.
  • Support students with SEN in a separate, sensory-friendly space, and work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop close relationships with students, and work to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Level 2/3 qualification in Supporting and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience working with students with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different learners.
  • DBS check (enhanced child-only).
  • Two professional references.
