Nurse Seekers is proud to be working with an excellent childcare provider to recruit a Nursery Manager for their setting near Cheshunt.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness to ensure the setting maintains a positive culture, policies, and resources to deliver high standards of childcare and early years education.
The nursery is situated in a beautiful Victorian House and strives to provide every child with the best start in life by caring for and supporting them to play, learn, and grow in a stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a relevant early years education and care qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Have experience in a Nursery manager or Deputy Manager capacity.
- Be knowledgeable about the current Early Years Inspection framework.
- Be able to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
- Have experience with nursery administration, including children's invoices, payroll, and timesheets.
- Be able to create a family feel nursery environment through team working.
- Ensure the highest standards of childcare are delivered at the setting.
- Manage the nursery's budget, including running costs.
- Conduct regular staff supervisions and create plans for staff development.
- Deliver high setting occupancy and promote the setting through local marketing.
- Upskill leaders within the nursery to ensure they lead their relevant areas or rooms effectively.
- Improve financial performance year on year.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead and hold overall responsibility for safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Develop an effective parent engagement strategy to create links between home and the setting.
