Job Title: Test Instrumentation Specialist

Leonardo is seeking a skilled Test Instrumentation Specialist to join our Structural Test Laboratory team in Yeovil. As a key member of our team, you will provide electrical and electronic support to ensure the successful execution of structural testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for test rigs, including cable installations and integration of test equipment.
  • Develop and support instrumentation activities within the department, providing advice to other teams as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Structural Test Laboratory and Design departments to provide strain gauge specification support.
  • Maintain and support electrical equipment specific to the Structural Test Department.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a relevant subject (e.g. electrical or electronic engineering) or equivalent experience and qualifications.
  • Experience in test instrumentation, including instrumentation definition, types of instrumentation, installation, and calibration.
  • Understanding of strain gauges and their application is desirable.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and design electrical circuitry.
  • Knowledge of computer-based design tools and programming languages is desirable.
