Job Description:

**Electrical Project Manager - Hospital Lighting Upgrade**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee a major lighting upgrade across three hospitals in London. This permanent role involves direct collaboration with the client and covers a 3-year project split into phases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage all electrical aspects of the major lighting upgrade project across three hospitals.
  • Ensure Project Delivery: Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop Project Schedules: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Technical Oversight: Supervise the installation and commissioning of lighting systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Address Technical Challenges: Address and resolve any technical challenges that arise during the project.
  • Contract Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on-site, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to quality control measures.
  • Implement Health and Safety Policies: Implement and uphold health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments as necessary.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary contact for all electrical aspects of the project, maintaining close communication with the client and other stakeholders.
  • Progress Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, site reports, and quality assurance documentation.
Requirements:
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, particularly in projects involving hospital environments or other sensitive settings.
  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, lighting installations, and project management practices.
  • Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications such as City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering and health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, SSSTS/SMSTS) are preferred.

  • Competitive Salary: Competitive salary of £65,000.
