Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of safe, legal, and wholesome products. This individual will work closely with the Technical Manager to maintain and continually improve the quality management system.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collecting and verifying QA paperwork to guarantee ongoing compliance with quality procedures and monitoring product quality.
  • Collaborating with the Technical Manager/QA Compliance team to investigate problem stock accounts and implement solutions.
  • Providing graphical data on microbiological results for products/environmental swabbing.
  • Logging complaints in a database, conducting initial investigations, and discussing corrective actions with the Technical Manager.
  • Producing monthly trend graphs and reporting on complaints in daily operational meetings.
  • Conducting monthly QHSE inspections to monitor site standards.
  • Validating staff training to ensure up-to-date training matrices and identifying any training needs.
Requirements
  • Accurate, concise, and clear written and verbal communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings, and status updates.
  • Knowledge and understanding of food safety and HACCP requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of process and packing QA/QC procedures.
  • Detailed knowledge of product and materials' quality parameters and specifications.
  • Knowledge of site-specific procedures and risk assessments.
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite of applications and CS Solutions.
  • Ability to adapt training styles to meet individual/role needs.

Circa £37,000 per annum salary, based on location and industry standards.
