About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Design Support Professional to join our team at Crew Clothing Head Office. As a key member of our design department, you will provide administrative support to our designers, ensuring seamless execution of design tasks, presentations, and studio maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Sample management: Organize samples on hangers and rails in the studio and back room archive
  • Travel administration: Manage costings and book travel and accommodation for the design team
  • Studio organization: Maintain a well-organized studio environment and suggest improvements to enhance creativity
  • General office duties: Perform filing, post, answer phone calls, monitor stationery stock levels, and take notes during presentations as required
  • Assist in setting up rooms for meetings and presentations
  • Chase up samples from suppliers
  • Set up product boards and maintain them

Design Responsibilities

  • Research: Conduct internet and external research on current trends and styling, maintaining a reference library for designers
  • Range planning: Update range plans and ensure they are ready for sign-off meetings in collaboration with the artworker
  • Basic CAD and coloring using Adobe CS4 to support designers and maintain range plans
  • Artworking: Produce basic stripes, checks, and prints based on designer briefs, preparing signed-off artwork for suppliers
  • Maintain a fabric and trim folder library, responsible for sending colors to suppliers
  • Work with designers to update lab dip files
  • Support designers in communicating with suppliers on the product development cycle
  • Organize product development documentation filing

Key Skills and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in fashion design or related field
  • Excellent computer skills in CAD, Adobe, Illustrator, Excel, and other related programs
  • Good eye for detail, organized, and pride in work
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Keen interest in fashion, design, and the market
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Will to learn and acquire new skills
