Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Specialist to join our client's logistics team in Cambridge. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of goods in and out of the country.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a detail-oriented and experienced professional to manage import and export activities, ensuring compliance with all regulations while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, certificates of origin, commercial invoices) to ensure accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party service providers to facilitate smooth and timely shipments.
  • Maintain records of all import and export transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including HMRC and international trade agreements.
  • Manage customs clearance processes and ensure accurate tariff classifications and duty calculations.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to delays, documentation errors, or customs holds.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in trade compliance, logistics, or a related field, with a strong understanding of customs regulations and international trade agreements.

What We Offer

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £14.29 per hour, paid weekly. This is a permanent position working 37 hours per week, inside IR35.
