About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Exeter. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for managing maintenance compliance, overseeing teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Job Description

In this role, you will work closely with experienced colleagues to provide a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors. Your expertise in plumbing, heating, and building services systems will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our facilities.

Requirements
  • Five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water or building services systems
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
