About the Role

The Mechanical Maintenance Team Lead will play a crucial role in coordinating the delivery of property operations in a mechanical discipline, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team in a specific discipline to deliver site requirements within that field, managing task types of work to time, cost, and quality.
  • Prioritize work, reconcile conflicting demands, and review and revise the timing of work to agreed deadlines to help deliver the site's budget.
  • Develop a proactive, trained, and engaged team, ensuring the QinetiQ principles are embedded within the team.
  • Effectively facilitate and coordinate third-party contractors on sites.
  • Advise on the management and supervision of maintenance of buildings.
  • Lead on distinct elements as set out by the Property Operations Manager, such as audits and risk registers.
Requirements
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Understanding of health and safety and environmental legislation.
  • Sound experience with dealing in subcontractor services, ensuring delivery of VFM and QHSE standards.
  • Understanding of the principles of contract management and experience of procurement of suppliers, including Service Delivery Management, Relationship Management, and Contract Administration.
  • Knowledge of all relevant UK Regulatory Bodies, Local Authorities, and associated legislation.
