We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Risk Modeller to join our Financial Modelling & Development team at Legal & General. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial risk models, regulatory requirements, and asset modelling solutions.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and implement data APIs, models, and tools to support financial risk management and asset modelling.
  • Collaborate with risk, business, and technology teams to understand and implement risk and business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain financial risk models, including regulatory requirements and asset modelling solutions.
  • Test and validate development changes, ensuring high-quality and robust solutions.
  • Document requirements and design decisions within project management systems.
  • Provide business-as-usual support for model and data queries, enhancement requests, and ad-hoc what-if requests.

**Requirements**

  • Strong knowledge of financial risk management and asset modelling.
  • Experience with software development life cycle, including Agile and Continuous Integration.
  • Good understanding of software design patterns, algorithms, and algorithmic complexity.
  • Practical knowledge of automated unit testing, DevOps principles, and cloud computing.
  • Knowledge of numerical libraries within Python, such as pandas, numpy, and matplotlib.
  • Python programming experience, preferably with numerical, data, and analytics libraries.
