Job Summary



We are seeking a highly skilled and empathic Family Therapist to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Family Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and clinical systemic formulation to individuals, couples, families, and social networks with complex mental health needs.



Main Responsibilities




  • Providing specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention to clients with complex mental health needs.
  • Conducting general psychological assessments and developing a broad understanding of clients' needs.
  • Working with clients and their families to identify and address issues related to diversity, including experience of working within a multicultural framework.
  • Providing consultation to other professionals on the use of family therapy and systemic psychotherapy techniques.
  • Developing and maintaining a high level of clinical knowledge and skills in family and systemic psychotherapy.
  • Participating in clinical governance initiatives and contributing to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development, including attending training and workshops, and participating in peer supervision.


Requirements



To be successful in this role, you will need to have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant mental health/social welfare profession, a Master's level qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy, and registration with the UKCP as a Systemic Psychotherapist. You will also need to have significant experience of providing specialist systemic assessment, formulation, and intervention with clients with complex mental health needs.
