About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Child Protection Specialist to join our Assessment Team in Middlesbrough. As an integral member of the team, you will play a key role in responding to referrals, conducting assessments, and working with families and children to ensure their safety and well-being.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of children and families referred to the service.
- Work closely with families to identify risks, strengths, and needs, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
- Develop and implement child-centred care plans, ensuring safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Collaborate with professionals from other agencies, including health, education, and housing, to provide holistic support.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to legal and professional standards.
Requirements
- A qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Experience in assessment, safeguarding, or statutory social work roles.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding practices, and assessment frameworks.
