DeFi/Blockchain Trading Engineer

At Selby Jennings, we are seeking a highly skilled DeFi/Blockchain Trading Engineer to join our team in London, UK. As a key member of our DeFi team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable software for on-chain systematic trading and off-chain applications in Rust.

About the Role

We are looking for an expert in blockchains, DeFi, and automated trading to collaborate with our Quant Traders and Engineers from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of DEXs, protocol mechanics, blockchain fundamentals, and smart contract security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable software for on-chain systematic trading and off-chain applications in Rust
  • Collaborate with Quant Traders and Engineers from concept to production
  • Develop expertise in blockchains, DeFi, and automated trading
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and apply this knowledge to improve our trading strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 2 years of experience with production-quality code in a compiled language
  • Proficiency in Rust, Python, or TypeScript
  • Strong problem-solving skills and teamwork abilities
  • Excellent communication and detail-oriented mindset
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with non-EVM blockchains (Solana, Cosmos, Aptos, Sui)
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud computing and distributed systems
