About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our charity's team as a Charity Champion. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the local community and providing essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination and Management:

Organize and oversee the scheduling and logistics of Drop-In sessions and Care Home visits, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. Liaise with volunteers and other stakeholders to coordinate resources, materials, and equipment needed for each session. Maintain accurate records of session attendance, services provided, and client information.

Client Support and Maintenance:

Provide friendly and empathetic assistance to clients during Drop-In sessions, addressing their maintenance needs with care and professionalism. Conduct basic maintenance, such as cleaning, battery replacement, and tubing or dome adjustments, adhering to proper protocols and hygiene standards.

Volunteer Coordination & Recruitment:

Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers participating in Drop-In sessions, ensuring their adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Foster a positive and inclusive environment, nurturing a sense of teamwork and commitment among volunteers.

Program Development and Outreach:

Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for expanding the reach of our services to individuals. Identify potential community partnerships and resources to enhance program effectiveness and raise awareness about the charity's mission.

Requirements:

A deep empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with a disability. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with clients, volunteers, and technicians. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
