Lead Engineering Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting the project team in delivering the Dockside Rigs and Dock Bottom Village, ensuring adherence to the defined scope, quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints.
The incumbent will be accountable for overseeing the engineering and technical dimensions from the initial identification of requirements through to the final handover.
The ideal candidate must exhibit a comprehensive understanding and relevant expertise in engineering practices necessary for the technical management of intricate design developments throughout the design lifecycle, including:
- Capital Equipment
- Mechanical Handling Systems
- Steel and Aluminium Handling and Processing Industries
- Heavy Industry Workshop and Process Lines
- Maritime Defence
- Oil / Gas / Subsea
Proven experience in project specification, planning, management, and budgeting is essential to support design, construction, manufacturing, acceptance, installation, operation, and maintenance.
Experience in substantiating process equipment for the validation of Nuclear Safety Functions is also required.
Required Skills:
- Familiarity with NEC 4 ECC and PSC contracts (Options A, C & E)
- CEMAR knowledge (desirable)
- Proficiency in relevant engineering office software applications (essential)
- Experience with Building Information Management (BIM) (desirable)
- Competence in MS Office Suite
- Ability to obtain SC clearance
- Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
- A degree, degree apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline
- Chartered Engineer status, registered with the Engineering Council (or actively pursuing this status)
