Job Summary

As a Senior Supportability Engineer with Manpower UK Ltd, you will be responsible for leading a team of Supportability Engineers while applying your engineering domain knowledge to provide technical solutions in the delivery of products and services. You will also be responsible for developing domain knowledge, experience, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team of Supportability Engineers and apply engineering domain knowledge to provide technical solutions.

Develop domain knowledge, experience, and leadership skills.

Participate in the design of the submarine to maximise ease of support in service.

Develop an in-service Support Solution that demonstrably satisfies requirements for availability and cost.

Ensure the submarine can be maintained within safe operating limits.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the ability to take complex engineering problems and resolve them into easy-to-understand outputs for use by a wide range of stakeholders.

The candidate will be able to apply a broad range of engineering knowledge to determine solutions to problems and have the ability to identify areas for future improvement.

The candidate will be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, with the confidence to seek guidance from others for more unusual or complex problems and situations.

Ideal Candidate

Ideally, the candidate will have an HND/HNC or Degree level qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (or related field).

The candidate will be an excellent communicator and able to articulate complex arguments for a wide range of stakeholders to understand.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate the motivation to drive issues to completion and to continue their professional development.

Project Management Experience

Project management experience or qualifications would be advantageous, as the role requires the delivery of documentation to time and budget.
