STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a caring and patient STEM graduate with a 2.1 or above to join our team as a STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant. If you have a passion for teaching STEM subjects and want to kickstart your teaching career through paid school experience in Newham, we encourage you to apply.

This STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant position is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and cohesive Science and Maths department. As a STEM Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will have the chance to offer 1:1 sessions to support pupils across STEM subjects, deliver small group workshops, and communicate with multiple departments. You will work Monday to Friday, school hours, and be paid £450-£500 per week.

The school is located in Newham and is rated 'Outstanding' by OfSTED. It has modern facilities and is well connected by tube and bus routes. The school also offers possible teacher training routes for 2025.

To be successful in this role, you will need a 1st or 2:1 degree in a STEM subject and previous experience tutoring or coaching young people is desirable. You must be a motivated and hardworking graduate with a genuine passion for education and a determination to train as a teacher.
