Job Title: Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Drainage and Flood Risk Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our Infrastructure Planning team, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our skill base and facilitating increased workload and future growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work on various residential and non-residential projects across the UK, from small private developers to house builders and masterplanning schemes.
  2. Prepare Flood Risk Assessments to support Planning Applications, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and best practices.
  3. Develop Surface Water Drainage Strategies to support Planning Applications, utilizing Microdrainage/Flow software to model drainage networks.
  4. Liaise and communicate with the wider engineering team, ensuring seamless project delivery.
  5. Input into draft site masterplans to ensure layouts accommodate drainage and Flood Risk requirements.
  6. Desirable to have experience in preparing Transport Statements/Assessments, Travel Plans, and Utility Assessments.
  7. Strong knowledge of UK Drainage/Flood Risk Regulation/Best Practice is essential.
  8. Proficient in Microdrainage/Flow, Microstation/AutoCad, and Microsoft Office (Word in particular).
  9. High standard of written and spoken English is required.
Experience Profile:
  1. Proven experience in preparing drainage and flood risk strategies to support planning applications.
  2. Experience in preparing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy documents.
  3. Experience in managing drainage and flood risk elements of a project.
