Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for working on various residential and non-residential projects across the UK, from small private developers to house builders and masterplanning schemes. You will prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Surface Water Drainage Strategies to support Planning Applications, as well as liaise with the wider engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Surface Water Drainage Strategies to support Planning Applications.
  2. Liaise and communicate with the wider engineering team.
  3. Use Microdrainage/Flow software to model drainage networks.
  4. Input into draft site masterplans to ensure layouts accommodate drainage and Flood Risk requirements.
  5. Desirable to also be experienced in the preparation of Transport Statements/Assessments, Travel Plans, and Utility Assessments.
  6. Strong knowledge of UK Drainage/Flood Risk Regulation/Best Practice.
  7. Proficient with Microdrainage/Flow, Microstation/AutoCad, Microsoft Office (Word in particular).
  8. High standard of written and spoken English.
Experience Profile:

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in the preparation of drainage and flood risk strategies to support planning applications. You should have experience of preparing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy documents, as well as management of drainage and flood risk elements of a project.
