About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Leader to join our team at WHSmith in Farnham. As a Store Leader, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring your team to deliver exceptional customer service, meet business objectives, and create a working environment that supports the development and growth of our colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Guiding and engaging your team to achieve excellent standards and results in line with the Trading plan
- Reviewing the trading plan with your Cluster Manager and setting key actions and priorities to drive success for your store
- Creating a sense of pride within the store to ensure colleagues and customer facilities are of a good standard
- Developing a culture of learning, support, and recognition to support colleague development and growth
- Working with Head Office to share knowledge of the local environment and maximize local opportunities
Requirements
- Current or recent retail leadership experience with a working knowledge of KPIs such as ATV and TPC
- Experience of leading from the front, getting stuck in, and supporting team members on the shop floor
- Flexibility to support other stores in the area when needed
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate clearly and engagingly at all levels of seniority
- Experience of supporting employee training and development, and motivating teams using an 'engage' rather than 'tell' approach
