Job Title: Nurse - Respiratory Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse to join our team in the Acute Respiratory Assessment Service (ARAS). As a Respiratory Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the service provision of Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Asthma Biologics.

Main Duties:
  • Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive appropriate interventions to improve their health and maximize their level of independence.
  • Supervise non-registered staff as stipulated by the NMC under the requirements of delegation.
  • Provide effective leadership and assist with the management and organization of the unit/department in the absence of the Ward manager or deputy.
  • Support safe and timely discharge for patients to their own home/permanent residence.
Person Specification:
  • Current NMC Registration (Level 1 adult nurse)
  • Experience of working in an acute hospital or community healthcare setting
  • Ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive, or contentious information
  • Able to work without supervision
  • Competent in the use of IT such as Microsoft Office
