XPS Group, a leading UK consulting and administration business specialising in the pensions and insurance sectors, is seeking a Pensions Administrator to join its vibrant team in Middlesbrough. This exciting role is ideal for an enthusiastic professional with previous experience in a similar administrative or customer service role, particularly in pensions administration, or a recent graduate looking to embark on a career in this field.



The Role


  • Update relevant pension administration databases and systems.
  • Handle DWP and HMRC queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Receive and handle internal and external telephone queries with a customer-centric approach.
  • Perform manual benefits calculations with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Assist the team with project-related work, such as bulk mailshots to scheme members.
  • Ensure the accurate updating of the time recording system (Virtual Office) for both chargeable and non-chargeable activities, meeting required utilisation targets.


Your Profile

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:




  • A good level of education, with a minimum Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Able to follow instructions, procedures, policies, and assimilate information quickly in a consistent manner.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and flexible approach to work, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • The ability to recognise the need for a customer-centric approach to delivery, both in terms of quality and exceeding customer expectations.
