Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Midwife to join our team at Homerton University Hospital. As a key member of our Research and Innovations team, you will play a vital role in promoting clinical trials and providing expert care to patients participating in research studies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage the care pathways for patients and carers participating in research studies
  • Set up, maintain, and close down clinical trials in accordance with local, national, and international legislation
  • Lead studies to assess patients' suitability, ensuring informed consent is obtained
  • Coordinate logistics for patient visits and undertake patient assessments in accordance with study protocol
  • Record all data, including adverse and serious adverse events, in accordance with ICH-GCP and local national and international legislation

You will work closely with our Research and Innovations team to develop and implement new research studies, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care for our patients.

Requirements
  • NMC registration
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Relevant experience at band 6 within a relevant specialty
  • Experience of supervision of junior staff or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of research and audit and understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
