Job Title: Rhino Care Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Rhino Care Specialist to join our team at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for the daily care and well-being of our rhino population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all duties on the section from general husbandry including cleaning and feeding as well as enclosure maintenance and record keeping.
  • Contribute to in-situ conservation programmes and participate in conservation education activities with the public.
  • Provide excellent animal care and husbandry, adhering to high standards of animal welfare and safety.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with rhinos, gained in a mainstream zoological collection.
  • Full valid driving licence.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
