Senior Capital Actuary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Capital Actuary to join our team at Admiral Group Plc. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will play a crucial role in the coordination and provision of regulatory and economic capital requirements to support our business.
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to the production of regulatory requirements for Solvency reporting and internal model use purposes.
- Engage with key stakeholders on internal model-related matters.
- Support the development of the Internal Model in line with the Admiral Model Change Policy.
- Assist in the ongoing development of the Calculation Kernel and parameterisation processes.
- Ensure ongoing compliance of the Calculation Kernel with relevant regulatory standards.
- Assess and escalate limitations in capital modelling methodologies, processes, and results.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Ability to work in a team and contribute to technical modelling work.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with staff at all levels.
- Ability to explain technical concepts simply.
- Hard working, committed, and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
- Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
- Good working knowledge of financial modelling platforms.
- Good working knowledge of Solvency II/UK requirements for internal model firms.
- Understanding of stochastic modelling concepts and capital modelling experience.
- At least 7 years of capital modelling experience in the personal lines insurance sector.
- Experience of managing/mentoring junior members.
- Good commercial awareness and ability to apply capital modelling principles.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Actuary qualification desired.
