About the Job

Airswift seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join their team in Teesside. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting HSE inspections and assessments, providing guidance and support for the development and improvement of the Environmental Management System, and performing studies and analyses related to environmental issues.

The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience. This position offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the environment and work on complex infrastructure and plants.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting HSE inspections and assessments to identify potential environmental impacts of activities
  • Providing guidance and support for the development and improvement of the Environmental Management System
  • Performing studies and analyses related to environmental issues
  • Developing and implementing mitigation measures to reduce environmental impact
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure environmental compliance during all phases of project execution
  • Staying updated on laws and regulations related to the environment and advising on authorizing processes
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Certifications in HSE or Environmental Management Systems advantageous
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and compliance standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify potential environmental impacts
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
