About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team at Ocado Group. As an Automation Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering pre-planned and reactive maintenance within our state-of-the-art automated Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs).

Working at height and using a variety of access equipment, you will diagnose equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely manner, completing repairs where possible. You will handle the Computerised Maintenance Management System, maintaining accurate data records to meet Engineering KPIs.

You will support the Engineering team in analysing engineering failures and finding solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment performance.

About You

If you are looking for a challenging role in your Engineering career, this position is for you. Ideally, you have a good technical understanding of automation hardware and software, along with good working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, and conveyor systems.

Organised and meticulous, you are a natural problem solver with great analytical skills. You can communicate effectively, and you are able to share knowledge and best practice with your peers.
