This is a general cover teacher role across all year groups, with no planning and preparation required—just full-time cover of classes.

As an SEN Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering personalised lessons tailored to the unique needs of each student.

You will implement effective learning plans, create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, and work collaboratively with teaching assistants, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for your students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individualised lessons as an SEN Cover Teacher.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans to meet each student's needs.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and other professionals.
  • Assess and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Manage and support students with diverse learning and behavioural needs.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children or young people in an SEN setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting student development.
  • A current enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for a new one.
