Job Opportunity: Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology to join our research team on the NHS-funded Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme at the University of Exeter.

About the Role

This is a full-time post available immediately until 29 September 2025 on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a lively and collaborative research team delivering excellent research training on this NHS-funded clinical training programme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the student learning experience using a range of approaches and modes of delivery appropriate to the teaching allocated.
  • Provide doctoral level research supervision of trainee research projects (empirical and quality improvement).
  • Work closely with our academics to support teams that understand the University wide teaching goals and partner with our academics accordingly.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative research projects and initiatives that align with the University's research strategy.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a depth or breadth of specialist knowledge demonstrated by a PhD in Psychology, or equivalent qualification/experience, of the core knowledge relating to Clinical Psychology. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
