Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Lead to join our team in the development of Amazon's Data Centers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction site management, negotiation with general contractors, and evaluation of bids/proposals.

This is a full-time opportunity with an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Represent AWS in ensuring the timely and budget-friendly execution of Amazon projects.
  • Lead and mentor large cross-functional teams as an expert technical and project management resource.
  • Drive significant communication across departments and serve as an authority on project issues.
  • Leverage experience and tools to understand gaps in project plans and propose solutions.
  • Negotiate terms of contracts with developers, contractors, and consultants representing AWS' interests.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years in construction site management.
  • 7+ years of experience in conducting negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
  • 7+ years of experience in mission critical facilities (design, pre-construction, scheduling, construction and commissioning), or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of best practice industry safety, quality standards and local safety regulations with experience performing the role of a client within those regulations.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and English languages.
  • Professional certification, such as CCM, PMP, AC or CPC.
