Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Children's Services Worker to join our team at the Isle of Wight Council. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children and families across the Island.

The successful candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in childcare and a strong background in working with young children, preferably in an early years setting. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies for supporting children's learning and well-being.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement effective policies and procedures for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for supporting children's learning and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement effective policies and procedures
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, identifying areas for support or extension
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related field
  • Experience working with young children, preferably in an early years setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
