Seeking a motivated and compassionate Community Staff Nurse to join the Extended Community Care Team in the Helensburgh and Lomond area.
This is a part-time, permanent position, requiring 22.3 hours of work per week, including weekend shifts and cover for late evenings until 10 pm.
The successful candidate will be based in the Helensburgh/ Lochside area.
In collaboration with Community Nurses and other professionals, the post holder will deliver comprehensive care programs to individuals, families, carers, and communities in the area.
By working closely with the multi-disciplinary team, the nurse will contribute to the delivery of healthcare services in the community, driving the reablement agenda, and preventing hospital admissions while facilitating timely discharges.
To be successful in this role, applicants must be a First-Level Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and relevant experience in community nursing. Previous experience in community nursing would be advantageous, but other levels of experience, including newly qualified nurses, will also be considered.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and provide evidence of ongoing professional development.
Additionally, the candidate must be a car driver/owner and hold a full driving license.
NHS Scotland is a leader in reducing working hours, transitioning to a 37-hour workweek from April 2024 without any change in pay. This change will be applied pro-rata for part-time staff. Although not all service areas will immediately adopt the 37-hour workweek, the successful candidate may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which they will be compensated until the service area changes its roster or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced workweek.

NB. The salary for this position is estimated to be around £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
