Riverwoods Communications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Riverwoods Communications Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh, Scotland. As a member of our Riverwoods Blueprint Project team, you will lead the delivery of a Riverwoods Communications Plan and oversee the development of effective social media campaigns. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the Scottish policy landscape and experience in managing website and social media content. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in relevant positions and/or disciplines, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse public, volunteer, and stakeholder audiences.

Responsibilities:
Lead on the delivery of a Riverwoods Communications Plan to raise the profile of the project and showcase project activity. Oversee and support the delivery of a Riverwoods Advocacy Strategy and Plan to engage key stakeholders, influence policy, and ensure support for Riverwoods. Develop and deliver effective social media campaigns to engage people in river woodland restoration. Write and issue press releases for the project and respond to media enquiries. Organise and attend key stakeholder events and meetings, including Parliamentary exhibits and the Royal Highland Show. We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can bring their expertise and passion to this exciting role. A salary of £32,500 per annum is offered.
