We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Leader to join our team at Lakeview Grange, a luxurious 55-bedded residential and dementia care home in Chichester, West Sussex.
Main Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Deputy Manager to coordinate resident assessments, ensuring resident involvement and integration of information into care plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication of resident information to achieve a person-centred approach.
- Work closely with the team to maintain high standards of care at all times.
- Oversee medication administration processes, including auditing and identifying training needs.
- Recruit and manage the care team, ensuring efficient use of contracted hours and monitoring recruitment needs.
- Regularly communicate with family members regarding resident needs and progress.
- Manage team member absence and conduct return-to-work sessions with support from the Deputy Manager and home Administrator.
- Ensure effective handovers between shifts, keeping the Deputy Manager and General Manager informed.
- Provide daily coaching and support to Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants.
- NVQ 3 essential, NVQ 4 in Care and Registered Managers Award or QCF Level 4 Diploma in Management (desirable).
- Two years' experience in long-term care or a similar industry.
- Experience of planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care delivery.
- Experience of working with older people.
