About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher - ASD Experienced to join our team of professionals in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach relevant subjects to secondary students, focusing on ASD support and developing tailored educational programs to meet the specific needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Develop and adapt lessons according to the curriculum, ensuring they meet Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, and provide one-to-one or small group support to students with ASD in the classroom environment.

Requirements

  • QTS or relevant degrees such as PGCE, NQT, or ECT qualifications are mandatory, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or Education-related fields is essential.
  • Proven experience working as a Secondary Teacher - ASD Experienced or with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder, and a strong understanding of ASD and strategies to support students effectively in a secondary school setting.
  • Experience in adapting teaching methods and resources to support diverse learning needs, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
