Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Compliance and Risk Manager to join our team at Travelex. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's products and services comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure regulatory compliance of the business.
  • Provide regulatory support to the business, including preparing license applications and engaging with regulatory bodies.
  • Manage operational compliance and risk controls for product development.
  • Work with other compliance and risk colleagues to foster a cross-departmental approach to compliance and risk management.
  • Manage product and marketing requests for approval of regulated products.
  • Internal reporting to ensure compliance and risk reporting are functioning and operational within the relevant areas.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Product Management team to provide support to business colleagues and drive compliance by design.
  • Ensure finance activities for regulated products are managed in line with regulatory and card scheme requirements.
  • Produce accurate, timely, and relevant reporting and MI for the Global Compliance and Risk Reporting Framework.
  • Responsible for proactive and regular communication with support and enabling functions and the business.
  • Actively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues and customers.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of compliance and risk management experience in card/payment service/e-money/FCA-regulated firms or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in driving 'compliance by design' across payment services and e-money, particularly prepaid card products.
  • Experience of working with card schemes such as Mastercard and Visa.
  • Strong understanding of the card payment ecosystem, scheme rules, and key regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of AML CTF controls and risks, including licensing and model risk and impact assessments.
