Job Summary:


We are recruiting for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team at Cullingworth Street, Dewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Consultant Psychiatrist to provide timely services in an outpatient setting and ensure safe and effective interventions for our vulnerable population.


Main Responsibilities:



  • To provide assessments, consultations, advice, and support to ensure the best possible clinical outcomes for young people presenting to our service.
  • To work with all disciplines of the team and external agencies within the child's network to deliver high-quality care.
  • To lead the team and contribute to shaping the future of services within the Kirklees area.
  • To participate in clinical audit and quality improvement programmes, and to contribute to the medical education team to become a recognised trainer.

About the Role:


This is a permanent, full-time position with 10 programmed activities per week, plus on-call. Part-time may be considered. The postholder will be offered additional PAs for leadership and caseload management, and will have opportunities to work flexibly and virtually dependant on clinical needs.

Requirements:



  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or within six months of gaining CCT.
  • Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment.
  • Valid UK driving licence or provides evidence of proposed alternative.
