Lead Paediatric Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Paediatric Registered Nurse to join our team as a Lead Nurse. This is a part-time, permanent role working 24 hours per week, offering a competitive pay rate of £37.00 per hour.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to ensure staff are up-to-date with best practice guidelines.
  • Deliver clinical training and identify training needs to ensure staff have the necessary skills to manage complex care interventions.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and attend key meetings as required.
  • Complete risk assessments and care plan reviews to ensure high-quality patient care.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be involved in hands-on care, auditing and transcribing of paperwork, and accompanying patients to scheduled appointments.

Essential Requirements
  • Current NMC PIN and Paediatric Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Driver with access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work flexibly across Monday to Sunday.

Desirable skills include experience with ventilation management, bowel management, and cough assist. Knowledge of spinal injury care, acquired brain injury care, and seizure management would also be beneficial.

This role is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, and a submission for Disclosure to the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.
