We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teaching and Learning Specialist to lead our Key Stage 2 team at Wetheringsett Manor School in Suffolk.

In this role, you will teach a variety of subjects across the national curriculum to students aged 7-11, primarily KS2 in the morning sessions.

You will also provide pastoral care to students as a form tutor and deliver aspects of our vocational curriculum in the afternoon sessions.

About the Role:
  • To contribute to the development of SEN provision within Wetheringsett Manor School.
  • To work collaboratively with schools, parents, key agencies, and young people with SEN to achieve successful inclusion of pupils including those with SEMH.
  • To develop learning styles and teaching approaches, behaviour management, classroom strategies, resources, and whole school policies for pupils with complex needs.
  • To work closely with the therapy team and build a curriculum that meets the needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching quality.
  • Support students with complex needs through tailored learning plans and therapies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school environment that promotes academic excellence and social growth.

The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
