As a Specialist Learning Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering planned lessons and activities, assessing pupil development, and collaborating with staff to ensure seamless support.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Educational Support:
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons, adapting to meet individual needs.
  • Assess and record student progress, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide short-term class cover, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching.
  • Collaborate with staff, sharing relevant information to inform teaching strategies.
  • Pastoral Support:
  • Identify students requiring additional provision, working closely with families to develop tailored plans.
  • Promote parental engagement, building relationships and communicating effectively.
  • Advocate for students, amplifying their voices within the school community.
  • Safeguarding:
  • Serve as an Alternate Designated Safeguarding Lead, taking responsibility for safeguarding procedures.
  • Attend regular training and meetings to stay up-to-date on safeguarding best practices.

**Requirements:**

  • Level 4/C or above in GCSE mathematics and English.
  • HLTA status, with experience working in a primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum, with a focus on meeting individual learning needs.
