Nurse - Children's Hospice

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Nurse to join our team at Julia's House Dorset/Wiltshire Children's Hospices. As a Team Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical nursing care to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, as well as supporting their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care to meet individual client needs.
- Manage a team of Carers, providing supervision, teaching, and deployment as needed.
- Participate in an on-call rota, providing telephone support for care staff and families.
- Liaise with the Julias House Care Team and statutory and voluntary agencies involved in client care.
Person Specification:
- Essential qualifications: RSCN/RN (Child Branch) diploma or degree, Registered Learning Disability Nurse, RGN, or RN Adult Safeguarding Awareness Level 3.
- Desirable qualifications: Counselling training, care of the dying and bereaved course, or experience; ENB 998 or equivalent teaching and assessing course.
- Essential experience: Two years relevant post-qualification experience at Band 5 or above, experience of caring for and working alongside families in their own environment, and ability to work both in a team and independently or with minimal supervision.
- Desirable experience: Experience of working with children who have life-limiting/life-threatening conditions and experience of working with children who have complex medical needs.
